Beginner Friendly No-sew Crochet Bobble Bear Pattern

Bobble bears in a basket

Hello, crochet friends! 🧶🐻

If you’ve ever struggled with sewing parts together when making amigurumi, I’ve got the perfect solution for you: the No-Sew Crochet Teddy Bear! This cuddly little bear is created completely in one piece — no sewing required! 🙌

Whether you're new to crochet or an experienced crafter looking for a quick and seamless project, this teddy bear pattern is an absolute must-try. Let me tell you all about it!

Why No-Sew?

Let’s face it: sewing separate pieces together can sometimes be tricky, time-consuming, or even a little frustrating. That’s why I designed this pattern to be entirely no-sew — from the ears to the feet, it’s all crocheted directly onto the bear as you go.

This not only makes the bear more beginner-friendly but also gives you a smooth, seamless look without worrying about pieces coming loose over time. It’s perfect for those who prefer a simpler, quicker approach to amigurumi.

Pattern Features

The No-Sew Crochet Teddy Bear is not just practical but also oh-so-cute! This sweet little teddy bear is soft, squishy, and the perfect size for cuddles or as a thoughtful handmade gift for a loved one.

Here’s what you’ll love about the pattern:

  • No sewing required – Every part of the bear is crocheted continuously.

  • Beginner-friendly – Simple shapes and stitches, ideal for those just getting into amigurumi.

  • Customizable – You can easily change the yarn colors or size to create a unique teddy bear.

Yarn

You can use any yarn you have lying around for this pattern. I love making it with chunky and plush yarns, but it can also be made with thinner yarns to create adorable little key chains. One of the great things about this pattern is it doesn’t use much yarn at all, so you can make a lot with one ball or yarn.

Other Materials

  • Crochet hook, size appropriate to chosen yarn (I would recommend one or two sizes smaller than the recommended size on yarn label)

  • Yarn needle

  • Poly-fill

  • Stitch markers

  • Safety eyes (select a size that suits your yarn and project)

*Please note that safety eyes are NOT recommended for children under the age of 3 years.

Abbreviations and Stitches

  • (...) x n: Repeat instructions in brackets n times

*In this pattern, we use a four-stitch bobble stitch to create the arms, legs, muzzle and tail.

If you have any issues with any of the stitches, you can find detailed YouTube tutorials in the links.
